We pride ourselves on using local ingredients, making everything in house, and giving our customers a great dining experience. Our meats come from Local purveyors such as Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville, Kerley's Meat Market in Belton, and Petericks Smokehouse in Salado. We receive some of our seasonal vegetables from local Bell County farmers, including our Aunt and Grandmother.  Herbs used for specialty items come from our herb garden. The coffee and tea are prepared specifically for Megg's Cafe by Texas Coffee Traders in Austin.   All of our meats are prepared in-house. The pastrami for our Short Rib Pastrami Rueben is brined for 5 days, and then spice pressed, before roasting.  Our potato chips are thinly sliced from Kennebec potatoes, soaked in a water bath overnight, and then fried and hand seasoned. Enjoy them slowly; they take 8 hours to make! Eggs for the omelets are fresh cracked in the kitchen, NEVER bought in bulk or homogenized.
